Work Schedule

Construction should begin in mid-May 2017 and will wrap up in December 2017. Legacy Contracting of Stayton, OR will begin working at the site along U.S. 26 near Rhododendron and OR 35 near Parkdale. Work will occur at multiple locations at one time.

When this project is complete, Legacy will have installed 13 variable message signs, 10 major sign structures, 6 cameras, and over 20 various types of weather condition sensors.

Traffic Impacts

As work is occuring, travelers will experience lane and shoulder closures. Placing the electronic signs could require stopping all traffic for up to 20 minutes.
